Learn the cleaning methods used in swimming filters to safely choose your right filter

To have an in-dept understanding of how filtration actually takes is absolutely essential for choosing the right pool filter. Pentair has launched a series of its own products that are built based on traditional methods of filtration. Sand is considered as a good aide for swimming pool filtration. Sand is strewn around a swimming pool and water is forced to pass through its bed and then removed with the help of tubes. This purifies and cleans the water. The same principle is used in Pentair pool products and so you have the ‘Pentair Tagelus Fiberglass Sand Filter with Valve’.

Then another very good method is the DE filtration. Here, Diatomaceous earth, exoskeletons of tiny diatoms, is used for filtration. Water when passes through their sieves leave behind particles that are even as tiny as 5 microns. The same method of cleaning can be found in the ‘Pentair Quad DE Filter’ and the ‘Pentair FNS plus D.E. filter’. The use of Cartridge is also a common method for filtering out debris. It can be easily understood as here a filter material is used to separate out the unwanted residues. The use of cartridge is very common in Pentair products. It is essentially used as a filtering tool in every Pentair pool filters. So, depending on your need and with this technological feedback, now you can easily choose your best suited swimming filter.

  2. I knew about sand filters as I am using one in my swimming pool. But the DE and Cartridge forms are quite new to me. I think I should try out the new filters as the filtration process may become better and my pool water more clean.
